Sandra's School of Dance was founded by Sandra Rubi, who has been teaching in the Albuquerque area for more than 27 years. Our success is built on mutual respect, assistance, and diligent effort between our team of teachers, staff, students and parents. This philosophy and work ethic has enabled us to achieve greatness through National recognition. We are true champions in our field! We are great with children! We have small classes for personalized instruction. Our new school includes three complete dance floors, plus a tumbling room - all with large viewing windows for parents. We can schedule four classes at one time, perfect for carpooling and families.
Classes Offered
We offer a unique program just for 2-year olds! This class combines creative movement with tumbling and pre-school level skills such as, colors, shapes and numbers. In addition, this class also targets speech development and oral language skills, with an emphasis on gross motor development that prepares them for pre-school and our higher level dance program.

During each lesson there will be a variety of songs and movemnet activities. These activities are for you to do with your baby both in class and throughout the week.
Sandra's School of Dance is the home of Baby Dolls, Dance Xpress, Minis, Juniors, Dance Xplostion, Dance Xtreme, Dance Sensations and Pure Energy dance teams. These are performing/competition teams which consist of children ages three through teen. These groups have performed at numerous local functions and have won recognition for their talent and enthusiasm. They also compete both regionally and nationally and consistently place 1st. They have also won several awards like "Best Choreography," "Highest Score," "Best Emotional Execution," and several "Spirit Awards." We are very proud of their success. Keep your eye out for upcoming performances.

Sandra's School of Dance was named one of the Top 50 dance schools in the South Central Region by the FDC! SSD was the only school in New Mexico to receve this honor!

We emphasize working as a team in order to accomplish a goal. Athough our main goal is not to win a prize or trophy, we emphasize learning lifelong skills such as, teamwork, a strong work ethic, discipline, and setting and accomplishing personal and team goals.
